Dr. Mattewal earned his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, India. He completed his internal medicine residencies with the AIIMS New Delhi and the Michigan State University's (MSU) College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, where he was named MSU Resident of the Year. Dr. Mattewal went on to complete his pulmonology and critical care medicine fellowship and sleep medicine fellowship and served as chief fellow at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. Mattewal is board certified in pulmonary disease, sleep medicine, critical care medicine and internal medicine.
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Mattewal enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
